Who are we?
Immspec.com was “born” in late 1993,
when
our founder, Lola Kruse, began to have friends and former acquaintances ask
her to “help them with their green card”. After doing so for a few; the now
famous line from the upstairs bedroom: “There’s a business here”. Lola built and
ran the company until she “retired” in 2002. The company continues to remain
strong and the growth is impressive. We have an extremely talented staff to
handle all existing and new clients.
We
have now processed “1000’s” of visas for “100’s” of companies while functioning
as their “personal in-house immigration department”. Our staffs combine over 30
years of experience; with “specialists” for each of the various visas.
In a nutshell...
We function as your "personal in-house immigration department" by
overseeing and processing forms for both non-immigrant and immigrant workers
and/or family members; providing a complimentary visa management system to
notify the employer and foreign national of required extension of stay filings,
as well as providing guidance on maintenance of DOL required public access
files. Our experienced specialists liaison directly between the employer /
recruiter / manager and the foreign national on matters concerning the
processing and filing of all non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters, which
includes being readily available for related questions and/or concerns from all
parties. Instructions for any necessary visa stamping appearances are also a
part of our service.
Immspec.com is not a law firm. Owners and staff are
non-attorneys. We do not give legal advice and do not attempt to represent
foreign nationals or their employers in any way. Instead, we work as
"administrative support specialists", assisting foreign nationals, their
employers and family members in obtaining certain routine employment and
(family based Immigrant and non-immigrant visas.
OK, but don’t I need an immigration attorney? It has been our experience
that in most cases, our service can eliminate the use of an outside immigration
attorney. While processing (literally) several thousand I-129's,
I-129H's, ETA 9035's, ETA 750's, I-140's, and now the new ETA 9089 which is the
new form used for Labor Certification via the Department of Labor's new PERM
program for our customers since 1993, we have found that the majority of
employment-based processing is routine IF:
- the job offered meets the
appropriate non-immigrant or immigrant requirements;
- the candidate is verifiably
qualified (by education and/or experience); and
- the employer is verifiably sound
with adequate resources to pay the offered salary. In those cases, there
should be no reason to spend additional company funds to hire an immigration
attorney.
Of course, if any of those items are
questionable, we always recommend that an attorney be consulted.
What about all the changing laws?
Yes, laws change all the time...which is another good reason to outsource your
"immigration department"...keeping up with all those changes is a full time
job! We are in a constant state of "research" and "learning" when it comes to
keeping up with all the changes. The internet affords us (with countless
resources for maintaining our "edge" in the knowledge of rules and regulations
issued by the Department of Labor and the Immigration and Naturalization
Service...for example, just a few sites we monitor daily:
US
Citizenship and Immigration Services
Department
of Labor
Department
of State
Code
of Federal Regulations
Federal
Register
Hence, our
specialists stay well-versed on any and all changes that affect the particular
processes that we handle.
